ASAE University Goes Mobile, Offers New Programs

October 4, 2011

The American Society of Association Executives’ ASAE University, formerly known as CenterU and CenterU online, now will offer association professionals the capability and flexibility to take online courses using mobile devices.

“By adding the mobile component, it gives the association community the opportunity to participate in our online courses and enhance their knowledge and skills when and where it is most convenient for them,” said ASAE Chief Learning Officer Anne Blouin, CAE.

She added, “Our members have demanding schedules, and this allows them to contribute, engage and learn wherever they may be.”

Last year, more than 20,000 people participated in ASAE University’s online and face-to-face events. Starting this fall, ASAE University is expanding its programming by offering new online certificate programs with curricula focused on core competencies within specific job roles.

These new certificate programs will include a total of three courses per competency and will be offered at different levels in order to match the participants’ experience in association management.

This month, ASAE University is introducing a new Advanced Membership Level III Facilitated Virtual Course. When individuals complete the Membership Boot Camp, The Compelling Leader and the new Advanced Membership virtual courses, they will receive the ASAE Membership Management certificate of completion.

ASAE University also soon will be introducing a five-day face-to-face Certificate Program in Association Management designed for those with less than five years in the profession.

ASAE University offers a full range of programs for professionals in the many functional areas within association management, as well as offerings in leadership, governance and programming designed for many subspecialties, levels and association staff sizes.
