The Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA), a global community and educator for Business Event Strategists, announces that Fun Y. Lee, CMP-HC joins the association as a consultant.
Lee will provide an additional experienced voice to further PCMA’s education and content offerings on the trends and challenges of medical business events and compliance globally.
“Expanding our medical focus with Fun’s in-depth knowledge into what medical meeting leaders need in order to help them to excel in their roles will help us further expand our reach and develop programming unique to the industry,” said Deborah Sexton, president and CEO, PCMA.
Lee has been with the Cardiovascular Research Foundation [CRF] for nine years. She was the manager, Meeting Planning for three years before she was promoted to director, Meeting Planning & Exhibits.
Prior to CRF, she worked at the Society of the Plastics Industry, American Institute of Chemical Engineers and Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
She has been an active PCMA member for seven and she has served on several task forces, including serving as the co-chair of the Education Conference Committee in 2015.
“I am pleased to leverage my experience and strengthen the platform for our community of medical business event leaders through PCMA and its audience,” Lee said.
Until recently, the opportunity to have a celebrity attend an event, attach themselves to a name-brand or endorse a certain product or idea was untouchable. The thought of paying a person to promote a product was seen as something only Fortune 500 companies could afford. Social media has changed all that with brands and businesses utilizing celebrity influencers to connect directly with their demographics and increase sales and profits.
