Green building trade show, Ecobuild China, reported the participation of 127 exhibitors and more than 15,000 visitors at its inaugural edition held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). Organised by UBM Sinoexpo, a subsidiary of UBM, Ecobuild China was held from 9th to 12th April this year concurrently with building and construction trade show, Expobuild China 2012. The New South Wales State Government has recently released an initial concept plan to build a US$968 million convention and entertainment centre at Darling Harbour. First announced in December last year, the venue will be named the Sydney International Convention and Entertainment Centre. According to media reports, the venue includes seating for up to 12,000 people, and a “multi-function exhibit hall” of up to 12,000 m2.
