MIFF Opens with 600+ Exhibitors

March 20, 2018

Organised by UBM Malaysia, the Malaysian International Furniture Fair (MIFF) featured 622 exhibitors, an increase of 13% over last year’s edition.

Positioned as the largest international furniture fair in the Southeast Asia, MIFF 2018 took place from 8th to 11th March. The fair was held in two separate venues. It occupied a total of 18 halls in the new Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) and it also filled the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), covering a gross exhibition area of 100,000 m2.

This year’s theme was “Design Connects People,” MIFF showcased new product ideas and collections by both Malaysian and international suppliers, and featured elements aiming to highlight both design quality and new business opportunities.

MIFF Founder and Chairman Datuk Dr. Tan Chin Huat, commented, “The bigger exhibition space brings greater advantages. MIFF can now provide more innovative ways for our exhibitors to showcase their products and engage buyers in greater comfort. I am confident MIFF 2018 will not only be a productive experience for them, but it will set the benchmark even higher as the must visit furniture marketplace every year in Southeast Asia and the biggest export platform for Malaysian furniture.”
