MCI, Corcoran Expositions, CompuSystems and More Secure Deals in Q1

This year continues to be a bustling one for event companies forming new business partnerships and continuing existing ones.

Global event solutions company MCI Group landed a multi-year contract with ANA Enterprise, which comprises the American Nurses Association, the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the American Nurses Foundation.

MCI will provide full strategic event management services including conference management, exhibit sales and sponsorship management, abstract and speaker management, a unified registration and housing platform, marketing solutions and mobile apps, strategic sourcing and financial management.

According to Karen Somerville, ANA vice president and general manager, the association selected MCI for its ability to strategically engage as a global partner, ensure cost-effective solutions and deliver high-quality service to its multifaceted audience.  

“MCI brings a breadth of resources to the table that align with our mission to be the leading resource for nurses, which includes providing a world-class experience through our events and conferences,” Somerville said. “Engaging MCI as a partner enables our team to focus on core content and the interests of the nation’s four million registered nurses we serve.”

MCI also signed a multi-year agreement to provide and drive lead cultivation and show data analytics for U.S. real estate franchise company Keller Williams, which was seeking a partner to help activate real-time solutions during its annual conference.

Corcoran Scores Five New Shows

Corcoran Expositions landed five new trade show management agreements with the American Specialty Toy Association; the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics; the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development; Materials Science & Technology, and the Wendy’s Convention + Expo.

As one of the country’s largest independent trade show organizers, Corcoran Expositions has produced more than 800 trade shows in 100 cities over the past 29 years.

CDS Renews with PMMI

PMMI has renewed its partnership for two years with Convention Data Services, provider of event registration, business intelligence and lead management services for the trade show industry.

CDS will provide registration, lead management and data analytics for PACK EXPO Las Vegas, PACK EXPO East and PACK EXPO International for PMMI, which represents the packaging and processing industry.

“CDS is excited to continue helping PMMI address show challenges,” said David Lawton, chief sales officer at CDS. “Accessing and analyzing data is very important to PMMI, so using our business intelligence tool, Data Sense, has helped support marketing efforts.”

IBC Gives RAI Amsterdam Two More Years

The International Broadcasting Convention will remain at RAI Amsterdam through 2021. The media, entertainment and technology conference and expo, which attracts more than 1,700 exhibitors and approximately 55,000 visitors annually, signed a new three-year contract with the Amsterdam-based convention center and its local partners.

According to RAI Amsterdam’s COO, Maurits van der Sluis, holding on to this media exhibition is good news for RAI Amsterdam, which has been hosting IBC since 1992, as well as the city, which yields approximately €100 million in annual economic impact from the event.

“I’m extremely proud that RAI Amsterdam will continue to have the privilege of hosting IBC for the next three years,” van der Sluis said. “Through close cooperation with amsterdam&partners [CVB] and the seven largest meeting hotels in the area, we’ve succeeded in securing our ongoing relationship with IBC.”

CompuSystems Scoops Up More Clients

Registration, data management, data analytics and lead retrieval services company CompuSystems continues to add more new clients to it growing portfolio as well as renew ongoing agreements.

In February, Heart Rhythm Society and Audiovisual and Integrated Experience (AVIXA) Association signed new multiple-year deals to have CSI provide its services for HRS’s annual Scientific Sessions trade show and AVIXA’s InfoComm show.  

The company also scooped up new multi-year contracts with Argentum, the nation’s largest senior living association; and Marijuana Business Daily; resulting in a total of five shows between the two organizations that CSI will service: Argentum; MJBizConNEXT; MJBizConINTL; MJBizCon European Cannabis Symposium, and MJBizCon Conference & Expo.

Meanwhile, American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Society of Bone and Mineral Research, and the Specialty Graphics Imaging Association all extended their contracts with CSI.

CSI will provide registration, data analytics and lead retrieval services for Plastic Surgery The Meeting (ASPS) and ASBMR Annual Meeting, both held annually in the fall, as well as for a pair of SGIA shows: PRINTING United and Graphics of the Americas.

“Announcing client renewals is very important as it shows we are doing things the right way,” said Chris Williams, president of CSI. “We’re very happy to extend these deals and continue our partnership with [our clients].”
