ISC West Collocates with International Tourism Safety Conference in 2014
Next year, ISC West will be collocated with the International Tourism Safety Conference in April at the Sands Expo & Convention Center.
The International Tourism Safety Conference is hosted by the International Tourism Safety Association, the Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and the Las Vegas Security Chiefs Association.
The International Tourism Safety Conference is an annual gathering for hundreds of safety and security officials in the travel and tourism industry worldwide and focuses on providing attendees to the show with new information, trends, equipment, strategies and best practices in keeping visitors to their locales safe, according to event organizers.
“ISC West is known as the launching pad for new physical security products and services,” said Ed Several, senior vice president and general manager, ISC Events.
He added, “We’re delighted to work with the International Tourism Safety Association to bring their members to the show, where they can see the newest products and technologies that can be immediately implemented in their organizations.”
ISC West is managed by Reed Exhibitions and sponsored by the Security Industry Association. It’s billed as the largest security event in the United States and annually draws more than 1,000 international and domestic security product manufacturer companies and more than 26,000 security professionals.
ISC West also features more than 10,000 products on the showfloor and 75 educational sessions on the newest technologies in security.
“This is a great opportunity for attendees of both events as they’ll be able to share more information and gain added insight on the latest safety strategies, technology and equipment,” said Ray Suppe, president of International Tourism Safety Association and director of security for the LVCVA.
He added, “Providing a safe and secure experience for visitors is a top priority for any city’s tourism industry and by combining our events, we’ll be able to offer more training and collaboration which ultimately helps ensure the safety of visitors in destinations and attractions here in Las Vegas and around the world.”
