HCEAInnovate 2019 Keynote Speaker Named as Award-Winning Author, Erin Gargan King

December 30, 2018

How can healthcare convention marketers leverage the power of digital persuasion to ignite social influence and maintain a competitive edge?

To help answer this question, HCEA has unveiled that the award-winning author Erin Gargan King will kick-off HCEAInnovate 2019, on tap Feb. 24 at the Mandalay Bay Casino in Las Vegas.

“Online media continue to dominate communication across industries – and especially the dynamic healthcare sector,” said Anne Trompeter, HCEAInnovate Chair.

She added, “We are so excited to welcome Erin as opening keynote speaker to share her observations with our HCEAInnovate audience on how to use digital persuasion to attract attention and increase influence. After all, she wrote the book on the subject.”

Trompeter is referring to King’s Amazon No. 1 Best-Seller, Digital Persuasion: Sell Smarter in the Modern Marketplace.

It chronicles a unique social-selling formula that has been adopted by some of the world’s most iconic brands to open doors for meetings and dialogue.

“Erin has an unparalleled ability to bring the printed word to life,” said Greg Lapin, CMP, director of Media Services for the American Association of Diabetes Educators and President of HCEA.

He added, “She is a popular repeat speaker at conventions every year – and when we saw her, we knew we needed her to deliver that formula at HCEAInnovate in a style that can only be described as actionable, memorable and fun.”

What can healthcare marketers expect from King’s opening address?

  • Expertise. A powerful, simple digital persuasion formula to stand out in social media.
  • Entertainment. A message spiced with stories and data that bring the education home.
  • Energy. A unique delivery style that consistently leaves audience inspired and motivated.

Anticipating the enthusiasm her message will inspire, King will sign books for all HCEAInnovate attendees.

She will also be signing books at the HCEA Booth on the EXHIBITORLIVE show floor. All HCEAInnovate attendees receive a complimentary EXHIBITORLIVE show-floor pass as part of their registration.

“Digital persuasion is critical to drawing highly-qualified leads into the exhibit space,” industry veteran and HCEA member Michael Seymour shares. “HCPs enter those show doors with an agenda. I can’t wait to hear Erin’s formula and to see how we can market better, smarter and more effectively.”
