ITE Group Launches Cosmobeaut Brand into Myanmar

July 22, 2013

U.K.-based ITE Group has its sights set on Southeast Asia, with the launch of another show there – Cosmobeauté into Myanmar. The show will be launched through its The Malaysian subsidiary, ECMI ITE Asia.

This is the company’s second recent launch into the region announced this month, with Paperex Indonesia 2014 debuting Dec. 3-4 at the Jakarta Convention Center.

Cosmobeauté is a well-known brand in the Southeast Asia region, with exhibitions already organised in Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam.

The new event will be held June 6-8 at the Myanmar Convention Centre, Yangon.

“The professional beauty sector in Myanmar is set to grow in line with the rising consumer demand for beauty products and treatments in the country,” said Managing Director of ECMI ITE, CP Saw

Saw added, “Brands from the United States, Europe and Asia are already becoming available in salons across the country as multi-national manufacturers re-establish distribution to help satisfy growing demand. Cosmobeauté provides an ideal opportunity for international companies to establish sales, partnerships and operations in what is set to become a booming market.”

The next Cosmobeauté takes place Oct. 17-19 at the Jakarta Convention Center. The 2013 Cosmobeauté Vietnam show, held April 11-13 in Ho Chi Minh City, drew 8,500 visitors to a showfloor occupying around 3,000 square meters of gross exhibit area

ITE Group’s CEO Russell Taylor said, “We’re very pleased that our recently announced partnership with ECMI has quickly led us into new and exciting emerging markets such as Myanmar. Cosmobeauté is a well-established exhibition in Southeast Asia and the conditions are right for this launch to be very successful in Myanmar.”

Cosmobeauté is one of several shows launching into Myanmar (formerly Burma), which has a rapidly growing economy. In 2011, its GDP stood at US$82.7 billion and was estimated as growing at an annual rate of 5.5 percent.
