S.E. INTERMAT, Hanley Wood Partner to Launch World of Concrete Europe

November 10, 2013

Dallas-based Hanley Wood Exhibitions already has spread its wings and launched its World of Concrete show into India, with the show recently running in October in Hyderabad, and now it’s taking the brand to Europe.

Hanley Wood signed a memorandum of understanding with S.E. INTERMAT, owner of the INTERMAT series of shows, to debut World of Concrete Europe, alongside the next INTERMAT show in 2015 in Paris.

“We are very excited by this partnership, which is another major step in the worldwide development of World of Concrete subsequent to the launch of World of Concrete India,” said Tom Cindric, vice president of Hanley Wood Exhibitions.

He added, “Our Las Vegas show is an annual event with international reach, and so it is only natural for us to get together with one of the construction industry’s leading exhibitions and unite our know-how as organizers.”

World of Concrete Europe will be piloted by Comexposium, the European-based event manager and organizer of the INTERMAT trade shows.

The next INTERMAT shows to be held will be INTERMAT Middle East Jan. 14-16 in Abu Dhabi, and INTERMAT Paris April 20-25, 2015.

“Comexposium’s Construction business unit is delighted to have started up this international partnership, which will contribute to the global reach of INTERMAT through one of its headline sectors, the Concrete industry,” said INTERMAT Exhibition Director Maryvonne Lanoë.

The trade associations CISMA and SEIMAT, members of the S.E INTERMAT board of directors, support this move and are contributing their expertise and full involvement, according to show organizers.

This year’s World of Concrete at the Las Vegas Convention Center, held Feb. 5-8, drew 55,000 attendees and 1,286 companies to 605,681 net square feet of space.
