New Business Contracts: Registration, Management, Exhibit Sales Companies Sign, Renew Contract

June 21, 2016

The summer months have not slowed down business in the event industry, with several companies signing new contracts and renewing existing ones to kick off the sunny season.

SEMI, producer of SEMICON West, has renewed their contract for another three years with Convention Data Services (CDS), its registration partner for the past nine years.

Under the agreement, CDS will provide complete registration management and technology, a full-service customer care center and exhibitor services. SEMICON West is the flagship trade and technology event for the global micro- and nano-electronics industries.

CDS also snagged a new client, The Cardiovascular Research Foundation (CRF), which signed a three-year contract with the company.

The agreement calls for CDS to provide full registration, lead management and integration services for the Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics (TCT) event.

TCT is the world's largest educational meeting specializing in interventional cardiovascular medicine. For over 25 years TCT has been the center of new cutting-edge educational content, showcasing the latest advances in current therapies and clinical research.

This year’s event will be held Oct. 29-Nov. 2 in Washington, D.C.

The Research Chefs Association has selected SmithBucklin an association management and services company, to provide full-service association management. RCA's headquarters will move to Chicago in mid-August.

Founded in 1996 by a group of research chefs dedicated to overcoming challenges facing the food product development professional, RCA has grown to more than 2,000 members.

Today, RCA is the premier source of culinary and technical information for the food industry, with a professionally diverse membership including chefs, food scientists and other industry professionals who are shaping the future of food research and development.

Meeting Professionals International (MPI) has selected Lanyon’s attendee management software, RegOnline® by Lanyon, to power MPI Academy education events, such as the Experiential Event Series.

The association also is leveraging the partnership to give its chapters the opportunity to utilize the technology for their meetings and events. The agreement continues Lanyon’s commitment to provide best-in-class software to leading associations, according to company officials.

Naylor Association Solutions, a provider of member engagement and revenue solutions for the North American association marketplace, will provide exhibit sales and logistics for Underwater Intervention (UI), the premier industry conference and exhibition for commercial divers and contractors in North America happening Feb. 21-23, 2017.

Underwater Intervention is a not-for-profit industry conference and exhibition, jointly owned by the Association of Diving Contractors International and the ROV (remotely operated vehicle) Committee of the Marine Technology Society.

Until the early 1990’s, these two non-profit, professional organizations hosted separate conferences. Underwater Intervention has grown to encompass more industries in addition to commercial diving and ROVs.

The show now includes sessions devoted to learning more about manned submersibles, instruments and sensors, sonar and acoustics, ocean engineering, marine salvage and shipwrecks, and AUV/UUV technology.
