Leading into the end of 2015, there still are plenty of deals taking place, with companies such as Experient, Convention Data Services and SmithBucklin signing contracts recently. The Association of Equipment Manufacturers and Experient have renewed their partnership for CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2017, the largest show in North America for the construction industries. Indonesia Infrastructure Week 2015, organised by the Tarsus Group, was held from 4th to 6th November at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC). The three-day show featured 266 exhibitors, up by 29% compared to last year. Over 13,620 visitors attended this year’s event, representing an increase of 32%. In addition to the exhibition, Tarsus launched a Global Meetings Programme, through which visitors and exhibitors pre-arrange meetings online before the event opens. Messe Frankfurt’s new nonwovens event, the China International Nonwovens Expo & Forum (CINE – supported by Techtextil), concluded last month with positive results. The three-day event was held in Shanghai Mart Oct. 14-16 and featured nearly 100 exhibitors covering an area of 6,000 square meters, which attracted nearly 5,000 visitors from 29 countries and regions. The unveiling of the new logo and brand for the Shanghai New International Expo Centre was held Nov. 20 at Shanghai Grand Ballroom, Kerry Hotel Pudong. More than 200 guests from government and industry were on hand to help SNIEC celebrate a new era. The new logo combines the world famous SNIEC name along with two triangles representing the shape of the venue. SNIEC provides a platform to foster the exchange of knowledge, commerce, and cultures. SIGGRAPH Asia 2015, organised by Koelnmesse, was held from 2nd to 5th November at the Kobe Convention Center. The four-day event, which combines both exhibition and conferences, brought together over 500 keynote speakers and 7,000 trade visitors from 49 countries around the world. The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) has concluded its autumn fairs – 9,100 exhibitors from 56 countries were featured in the trade fairs held in October and November, up by 3.9% year-on-year (excluding the inaugural World of Outdoor Lighting & Lighting Accessories). The fairs also welcomed over 204,000 local and overseas buyers. According to the HKTDC, the eight events combined made an economic contribution of over US$155 million to Hong Kong’s economy.   Cosmoprof Asia 2015, organised by UBM Asia, was held from 11th to 13th November at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). The three-day show featured 2,504 exhibitors, up by 6 percent compared to last year. Exhibition space sold also rose by 3 percent to 84,000 m2. UBM pointed to the largest-ever Korean pavilion, showcasing 212 exhibitors in 2,696 m2 as a highlight of the event. Cosmoprof Asia 2015 also recorded its highest-ever visitor numbers. 63,241 visitors from 119 countries and regions attended the event, up 5.5 percent compared to the previous edition.… more
