AMT Plans Smartforce Student Summit During IMTS 2014

The Association For Manufacturing Technology is making plans for the Smartforce Student Summit during the week of the International Manufacturing Technology Show 2014, which will be held in September at McCormick Place in Chicago.

The Smartforce Student Summit will be a place where educators, administrators, students, and parents can experience an in-depth introduction to manufacturing.

PCMA 2013 Achievement Award Winners Will Be Honored in Boston at Convening Leaders

The Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) is set to honor outstanding members for their contributions to the organization and the meetings industry from the main stage of the 58th PCMA annual meeting: Convening Leaders, Jan. 12-15 in Boston.

“This year’s award recipients have made tremendous strides in helping advance the meetings industry,” said Deborah Sexton, president and CEO, PCMA.

She added, “Our behind-the-scenes look at their works will certainly inspire change throughout the entire events community.

IAEE 2013 Year in Review: A Conversation with President and CEO David DuBois

Fifteen months ago, the International Association of Exhibitions and Events appointed a new president and CEO, David DuBois, who jumped into his new role with enthusiasm and hit the ground running.

More than a year later, not only has DuBois racked up some serious airline miles with 48 trips, 10 of those international, under his belt, but he also launched several new initiatives and partnerships at IAEE.

DuBois said he was fortunate to step into an organization last year that already had a strong foundation.

NAB Show, Dubai World Trade Center Will Partner on CABSAT Conference

The Narional Association of Broadcasters' NAB Show and the Dubai World Trade Center will partner to produce the 2014 CABSAT Conference.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, CABSAT is the region's leading annual event focusing on the broadcast, satellite and broader media industry.

More than 1,200 Attendees Take Part in ASAE's Technology Conference & Expo

The American Society of Association Executives held its 2013 CEO/CIO Pre-Conference Program and Technology Conference & Expo Dec. 3-5 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center drawing 1,233 total participants, the second highest attended conference in its eight-year history.

Participants took part in more than 40 high-level education sessions within five pathways, a sold-out trade show floor and the Technology Town Hall Meeting.

ISC West Collocates with International Tourism Safety Conference in 2014

Next year, ISC West will be collocated with the International Tourism Safety Conference in April at the Sands Expo & Convention Center.

The International Tourism Safety Conference is hosted by the International Tourism Safety Association, the Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and the Las Vegas Security Chiefs Association.

Cisco, Yahoo CEOs Tapped to Keynote for International CES Tech Titan Series

The Consumer Electronics Association has tapped Yahoo CEO, President and Director Marissa Mayer and Cisco CEO and Chairman John Chambers as part of the International CES’ Tech Titans keynote series.

The show, scheduled Jan. 7-10 at different sites in Las Vegas, has several high-level keynotes on tap for the series.

UPS Named Major Sponsor for The Association For Manufacturing Technology and IMTS

Commodity Classic, AG CONNECT Team Up on Shows

The Association of Equipment Manufacturers, which runs AG CONNECT Expo & Summit, and the National Corn Growers’ and American Soybean Associations, which jointly run Commodity Classic, will combine their agriculture shows March 2016 in New Orleans.

Commodity Classic is a joint venture owned by the National Corn Growers Association and the American Soybean Association, with National Association of Wheat Growers and National Sorghum Producers participating as affiliates.

The Association of Equipment Manufacturers owns and produces AG CONNECT.
