Collective Shows to Collocate at Anaheim Convention Center in 2018

August 18, 2017

Swim Collective and Active Collective have announced plans to collocate their biannual West Coast shows starting in 2018.

The events are set to take place Jan. 11-12 and Aug. 1-2 at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Swim Collective features more than 300 curated luxury and on-trend fashion brands showcasing the latest swimwear, surf, resort and beach accessory collections to an audience of swimwear specialty retailers, better boutiques, luxury resorts, cruise retailers, gift stores, online stores, surf specialty retailers and department stores from across the U.S. and abroad.

Launched in 2015 for the activewear and athleisure marketplace, Active Collective showcases more than 250 brands and features a wide range of products from the fitness fashion marketplace including active performance, active fashion, accessories and footwear. Like Swim Collective, its audience hails from across the U.S. and abroad, including Europe, Japan and Australia.

Both shows are owned by Emerald Expositions.

“Following the recent success of our Swim and Active shows, we feel that we can better serve our exhibitors and attendees by combining our events in a space that is more suited to our market growth,” explained Roy Turner, show director and senior vice president at Emerald Expositions.

He continued, “We feel that both Swim Collective and Active Collective exhibitors and buyers can benefit from the crossover of markets with holding both shows under one roof in California. We are excited to transition the shows to a new venue and are committed to maintaining the nuances that make the Collective shows unique.”

According to show officials, the ACC has enabled the shows to secure future dates that will be optimal for both fashion markets but also will help streamline move in and move out, as well as bring efficiencies and cost savings to its audiences with an array of affordable hotels and restaurants in the area.

In addition to the collocation of Swim Collective and Active Collective shows in California, Active Collective will add a summer edition to its 2018 New York shows with Active Collective East taking place Jan. 24-25 and Aug. 22-23 at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City.
