The 79th Annual UFI Congress wrapped up Nov. 8 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre in Abu Dhabi with a record number of 475 attendees from 55 countries who gathered to pinpoint where there were areas of growth in the exhibition industry. Reed Hongda Exhibitions (Henan) Co., Ltd., part of Reed Exhibitions Greater China, signed an agreement with Shanghai Gehua Exhibition Planning Co., Ltd. to acquire a 100-percent stake in the Shanghai International Auto Decoration Supplies Sourcing Fair (CSAE) and all of the show’s assets. Despite opening its doors at Chicago’s McCormick Place the day before Hurricane Sandy hit the East Coast, PMMI’s biennial PACK EXPO International still pulled in a 3-percent increase in attendees to 45,388, compared with the 2010 event.
