UBM Sinoexpo Acquires Majority Stake in Tiansheng Shows

UBM Asia’s joint venture company in China, Shanghai-based UBM Sinoexpo, has announced the acquisition of two trade shows and their co-located events from Shanghai Tiansheng Exhibition Service Co., Ltd– the China Vending & Kiosk Show, the Shanghai Digital Signage Show. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Mr Zhang Xinyuan, owner and general manager of Tiansheng, will continue to lead the show teams working alongside UBM’s Hotelexand Expo Shopteams.

The previous edition of the concurrent shows were held from 4th to 6th September 2013 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center and occupied more than 17,000 m2 of gross exhibition space. UBM Sinoexpo will officially begin to organise the shows from 2014 onwards.

Launched in 2004, the annual China Vending & Kiosk Show’s key exhibiting categories include self-service systems, and automatic vending machines for food, beverages, medicines, books and newspapers. The Shanghai Digital Signage Show was launched in 2009, and covers digital signage and advertising systems, LCD/LED display systems, touch screen and other display panels.

Additionally, attendees can benefit from 20 double-sided 55" mobile flexible display units, facilitating effortless navigation to meeting rooms and events. RFID locks were installed on all meeting room doors, and over 200 motion detection cameras have been placed throughout the space. Refreshing New Design & Fine Art The newly remodeled convention space provides a bright and vibrant atmosphere that complements Mandalay Bay's tropical-inspired brand. Featuring white-washed walls and ceilings adorned with bold floral patterns in cerulean and coral tones, the space is complemented by warm walnut accent walls. In addition to the redesign of all pre-function spaces, meeting rooms and ballrooms, Mandalay Bay's 1 million square feet of exhibit space has undergone a rejuvenation, including new paint, covered pillars and relocated strobe lights.
