ITE Group's Myanmar Oil & Gas Conference Praised for Successful Launch
The ITE Group continued their expansion in Southeast Asia recently when they held their first trade event in Myanmar, with the Myanmar Oil & Gas Conference and Exhibition Feb. 24-26 in the capital, Yangon.
The event benefited from official support from the Myanmar Ministry of Energy, Myanmar Oil and Gas Enterprise and the Myanmar Energy Planning Department.
In addition, the event was sponsored by Chevron, Total and PTTEP of Thailand. The conference keynote address was provided by Myanmar’s Minister of Energy, Zay Yar Aung, and participants from 17 countries attended the event.
“This was an excellent launch in terms of the quality of conference programme, the participation of highly influential players and the feedback that we have received. Our partners in the region, ECMI, ensured that everything ran smoothly throughout,” said The Head of ITE’s international oil and gas events, Graeme Coombes said.
He added, “Everyone who I have spoken to has praised the first Myanmar Oil & Gas as a great success. The experience that we’ve had here provides us with a very good foundation for future growth. There is a lot of interest in the Myanmar oil and gas sector and we hope to be able to continue facilitating the debate that will aid the development of the industry, as well as providing a platform for companies to do business”.
ITE’s next event in Yangon will be the inaugural Cosmobeauté Myanmar exhibition June 6-8 and the 2nd Myanmar Oil & Gas event will take place March 9-12 next year.
