Tarsus Group Names Two Senior Management Members in Asia; Ups Stake in Shenzhen International Underwear Fair
U.K.-based Tarsus Group has taken steps to increase the pace of its growing presence in Asia by announcing the addition of two new members to its Asian senior management team.
At the same time, it has increased its ownership of the Shenzhen based joint venture Shenzhen Shengshi Jiuzhou Exhibition Co., Ltd.
Nino Gruettke will be joining Tarsus in early July as CEO of Tarsus Asia based in Singapore.
Gruettke will be responsible for Tarsus overall strategy throughout the Asian region, including its Joint Venture businesses in Southeast Asia and its business in China.
Gruettke brings a wealth of Asian industry experience having previously served as Managing Director of VNU Exhibitions Asia Pacific and headed up Messe Berlin’s operations in Singapore.
John Liu also has joined the Group as CEO Tarsus China based in Shanghai. John has extensive experience of General Management and M&A having been based in Shanghai since 2003 and before that in the United States.
Liu takes over responsibility for Tarsus own operations in Shangha,i as well as its five joint venture businesses throughout China.
In April Tarsus also increased its stake in its joint venture business Shenzhen Jiuzhou Exhibition Company Ltd. to 75 percent.
The business organizes the Shenzhen International Underwear Fair (SIUF). SIUF is China’s largest fair for intimate apparel and is held annually in Shenzhen.
Commenting on the moves, Tarsus Group Managing Director Douglas Emslie said, “We are delighted to welcome both Nino and John. Their combined experience will help the Group meet its ambitious goals in Asia. At the same time, we are delighted to have increased our share in SIUF to 75% which enables us to assume full management control of the business”.
