Standing out at trade shows when there are dozens of trade show booths trying to grab the attendee’s attention is easier said than done. The most memorable exhibits are those that have a personal touch that is both unique and matches the theme of your booth. There are plenty of ways to do this without spending hundreds of dollars. Here are several ideas to create a booth that will attract a crowd and stand out above the competition.
Have a Consistent Theme
Trying to promote too many different products or services can be confusing and overwhelming to attendees. Instead of pulling their attention into several different directions, focus on one product or service per trade show. Doing this will make it simple for your audience to determine who you are and what your product can do for them. Once you have decided which product or service you would like to emphasize in your booth, design all of your marketing materials around it, including graphics, signage, promotional literature, and giveaways. The more your audience sees a single message, the more they will remember it.
Create a Comfortable Environment
Hours are spent walking on the trade show floor for both attendees and exhibitors. Designing your booth with an area guests can relax will keep them coming back to your booth. This can be done by adding comfortable furniture, soft lighting, and padded trade show flooring. The more comfortable they feel in your booth, the longer they will be willing to talk to you.
Use Pleasing Aromas
Engaging attendees’ sense of smell is a great way to get their attention without them having to walk past your booth to see it. The enchanting aroma will be smelled from all angles of the event. Use baked goods, lavender, popcorn, coffee/tea, or other aromas your audience would enjoy.
Incorporate Bright Colors
If you use neutral colors throughout your exhibit, you’ll end up blending in to the crowd. However, if bold colors are used, such as reds, yellows, or oranges, it will catch their eye. Incorporate these bright colors into booth components that you want to emphasize, whether you want to surround a specific image in your graphics with a bright color or want to bring attention to your company’s name with bright colors. Whatever colors you decide to use, make sure it works with the colors of your logo for a more memorable look.
These ideas will help you design a trade show display that is memorable without having to spend a fortune.
