Access Intelligence, Hannover Fairs USA Team Up on Energy Shows' International Pavilions
Access Intelligence has teamed up with Hannover Fairs USA, a division of Germany-Based Deutsche Messe, to produce international pavilions at Access’ Electric Power and RETECH shows, as well as work together on educational content for the events.
The strategy is two-fold: Deutsche Messe’s clients will have more access to the U.S. Market, while Access Intelligence’s Electric Power and RETECH shows will have increased international exposure.
“This strategic alliance capitalizes on our respective strengths,” said Don Pazour, CEO of Access Intelligence.
He added, “Hannover Fairs is the U.S. subsidiary of the largest organizer of energy shows in the world, Deutsche Messe, and this new alliance will allow them to better serve the U.S. market through our two flagship energy events-Electric Power and RETECH.”
Electric Power 2014, for the power generation market, is scheduled April 1-3 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.
The show has approximately 250 solution providers and is collocated with the PRB Coal Users’ Group, the Plant Management Institute, Women in Power and the Combined Cycle Users’ Group.
RETECH 2014 is on tap Sept. 3-5 at Gaylord National in National Harbor, Md., and serves the renewable energy market.
In Germany, Deutsche Messe runs HANNOVER FAIRS Energy, which is next up April 7-11 and is billed as “the world’s leading meeting place for stakeholders in renewable and conventional power generation, power supply, transmission, distribution and storage.”
During its last run, the show drew 109,000 attendees, as well as 1,000 exhibitors.
“With Germany’s long-standing leadership in automation and renewable energy technology, transported globally through the extensive network of Deutsche Messe, the partnership between Hannover Fairs and Access Intelligence will contribute significantly to the international knowledge transfer and best practice exchange in these important aspects of our economies,” said Larry Turner, CEO of Hannover Fairs USA.
Electric Power will focus on utility control solutions, distribution automation, grid-integration of renewables, grid storage, and demand-side management, targeting utility managers, project developers, TSOs, commercial and industrial end users, regulators and other energy professionals.
“At RETECH, on the other hand, we are looking to showcase emerging technologies along the complete value chain of renewable energy generation, transmission and distribution from around the globe,” Turner said.
