ITE Group Will Launch Paperex Indonesia 2014

July 8, 2013

ECMI ITE Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of U.K.-based ITE Group, is joining forces with PT Prakarsa Sinergi Utama, an Indonesia-based organizer, to launch Paperex Indonesia 2014.

This event will be Indonesia’s first major international trade exhibition and conference for the pulp, paper and allied industries and will be held Dec. 3-4, 2014, at the Jakarta Convention Center.

"This launch further demonstrates our commitment to expanding our event portfolio in Southeast Asia," said Richard Wightman, ITE Group's head of marketing.

He added, "The outlook for the paper and pulp sector in Indonesia is very promising and we are looking forward to working with new and existing Paperex customers who are keen to develop their business in the region."

Pulp and paper are one of Indonesia’s top 10 export commodities. The pulp and paper sector is worth almost 6 percent of Indonesia's US $169 billion non-oil and gas exports.

The growth of Indonesia's pulp and paper industries has been boosted by investment and the support of the Indonesian government, which has provided substantial capital subsidies to pulp and paper producers. Indonesia is now ranked as the world's 9th biggest paper producer and 7th for pulp production.

ITE Group already produces Paperex in India.

Paperex Indonesia’s business platform will have a special focus on the Tissue and Converting Zones, which are two key industry sectors relating to the paper sector.

Key highlights include invited delegations from Southeast Asia's major paper mills; a one day seminar on 'New Technologies and Growth Opportunities'; and the presence of global leaders in the 'World Paper Forum' at the event.
