May 21, 2012

George Little Management has partnered with ST Media Group to launch SPACE (Strategy, Product and Architecture for Consumer Environments) New York, a new show for retail interiors that will be collocated with GLM’s International Contemporary Furniture Fair in New York City.

SPACE New York will feature 150 exhibitors and serve as an opportunity for visual merchandisers and store designers to discover the latest in unique and innovative design-driven products for retail environments, according to show organizers.

“We are thrilled to launch this innovative new fair in New York alongside ICFF, bringing even more design resources to New York in May,” said Charles McCurdy, GLM’s president and CEO.

“This exciting new fair fulfills an industry need for an inspirational event that demonstrates design direction in retail,” said Tedd Swormstedt, president and CEO of ST Media Group International.

Exhibit product categories to be featured at SPACE New York include fixtures, visual merchandising, lighting, flooring, décor and props, architectural materials, wall coverings, technology, signage and graphics, furniture, digital media, audio, shopping insights and research firms.

Visitors will include store planners, visual merchandisers, architects and interior designers from retail, education, service and corporate industries.

SPACE will run May 18-20 and be in the North Hall of the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.

The new show will have its own conference and networking café and is expected to draw more than 2,000 attendees, along with crossover attendance from ICFF.

ICCF will run May 18-21 also at Javits.

Last year’s ICCF ranked No. 157 on the 2011 TSNN Top 250 Trade Show list and drew 550 exhibitors and more than 25,000 attendees to a 145,000 net square foot showfloor.
