While virtual events are not new to the industry, there’s no doubt that the pandemic has accelerated the switch to online-only conferences considerably. In fact, 70 percent of the respondents in this survey report moving their face-to-face event either partially or fully to an online platform. 

Geneva International Motor Show’s Association Owner Sells to Local Venue

In what could be a harbinger of things to come, the Geneva International Motor Show not only was forced to cancel its March 2020 show due to COVID-19, but also the association responsible for organizing the event decided to sell the show to Palexpo SA.

Palexpo SA is a convention center located next to the Geneva Cointrin International Airport in which GIMS is held.
