Tarsus Launches China International Automotive Aftermarket and Tuning Fair (AAITF) into Turkey
U.K.-based Tarsus Group has had a busy few weeks with launches and acquisitions in several different markets, with the latest being the launch of the International Automotive Aftermarket and Tuning Fair (AAITF) brand into Turkey.
The brand originated in China, where Tarsus bought an existing show and since planned launched in Bangkok, December 2014, and Indonesia, May 2014.
The new show in Turkey, Istanbul AAITF, will be held June 11-13, 2015.
“We are very excited by this opportunity to bring a major global brand like AAITF into Turkey’s dynamic automotive aftermarket sector,” said Zekeriya Aytemur, managing director of Tarsus IFO, the Turkish organising partner.
He added, “Our research has shown that the emergence of an increasingly structured market represents a timely opportunity for the launch of AAITF Istanbul by bringing international suppliers together with buyers from Turkey and the wider region. Our motto for AAITF Istanbul is ‘1 Show, 3 Continents’.”
Turkey is one of the World’s fastest-growing economies and has during recent years witnessed a surge in automotive vehicle ownership, which in turn is driving demand for aftermarket products including, multimedia, audio, electronics, lights, interior accessories, exterior decoration, modification, coatings and car care products.
AAITF Istanbul 2015 is strategically located to not only meet the changing needs of Turkey’s domestic auto aftermarket sector, but also it will focus on attracting trade buyers from across the Eurasian region, the Balkans, CIS, Middle East and North Africa.
Turkey has the world’s 16th largest automotive industry (2012) and is a major vehicle manufacturing centre with annual exports in excess of $21.6 billion (2013).
Li Jianming, chairman of Guangzhou Jiu Zhou Tarsus Exhibition and Convention Company, organiser of AAITF Guangzhou and the Chinese launch partner, said, “We have had a fantastic response to this launch from our existing exhibitors who view Turkey as an important emerging market. We are looking forward to working closely with our global industry colleagues and our Turkish partner to deliver a high quality event.”
