According to a report published by the Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR), the primary reason attendees decide to go to a specific show is through someone they know or by word of mouth. We intuitively recognize this fact to be universally true for any given vertical. When the Social Media Tourism Symposium (SoMeT13US) had to choose a host city for their annual summit, they practiced what they preached and let their community decide via Facebook voting. Voting began in March with eight cities competing in a bracket-style contest on Facebook using the Woobox voting app. The winner of each round would advance until finally, on April 2nd, the final round of voting took place. When associations and event organizers engage Wyndham Jade as their housing, vendor they will have a new mobile-friendly way for attendees to book hotel rooms within the room block. RoomLogicTM powers the Web site using HTML5 and adapted CSS. This means at least the housing portion of your event site will reformat to fit within any type of screen. The RoomLogicTM Web sites automatically redraw themselves, creating a streamlined, desktop-like hotel booking experience on mobile devices. There is no app to download.
