Messe Duesseldorf's Bevtec Asia Will Move Launch from 2014 to 2015
After feedback from key industry players and the Thai Beer Industry Guild, the dates for the launch of Bevtec Asia have been changed from early 2014 to May 6–8, 2015.
The Bevtec Asia committee decided not to hold the exhibition in 2014 when two ASEAN industry conferences in the same three months period are already scheduled, also with so many buyers focused on the AEC 2015 free-trade market changes and its opportunities.
The new dates also allow the trade fair to expand its exhibit space to more than 10,000 square meters at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) in Thailand.
“In collaboration with our key supporters and participants of the exhibition we are pleased to announce that the new 2015 dates for Bevtec Asia will ensure the maximum attendance and industry support for the event,” said Gernot Ringling, managing director of Messe Duesseldorf Asia.
He added, “Thailand in 2015 will be the host of the region’s only dedicated drink manufacturing exhibition and we will work closely with industry to develop and capture the business opportunities and production capabilities in the markets of Southeast Asia and its neighboring markets.”
Jointly organized by Messe Duesseldorf Asia and Asian Exhibition Services, Bevtec Asia 2015 will be the first international trade exhibition and conference for Asia’s rapidly growing brewing and beverage manufacturing industries, according to show organizers.
Southeast Asia drink manufacturers are seeing fast production increases, with an average of 18 percent investment growth in production technology throughout the ASEAN member countries.
“The 700 million free trade market of ASEAN, opening up in 2015, will provide a gateway for Bevtec Asia exhibitors to expand into the growth markets of Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia and the emerging neighboring markets of Cambodia and Myanmar,” said David Aitken, managing director of AES Ltd.
Bevtec Asia will attract representatives of the regional breweries, distilleries and wineries, as well as manufacturers of soft-drinks, fruit juices, mineral water, dairy and liquid food.
