Messe Duesseldorf's Medical World Americas Exhibit Sales Hit ムUnprecedented' Pace
Germany-based Messe Duesseldorf’s launch of Medical World Americas April 28-30 in Houston is experiencing ‘unprecedented’ exhibit sales for a first-time event, according to show organizers, with exhibitors signing up from not only the United States, but also Canada, Brazil, Japan, Italy, Belgium and Germany.
Medical World America’s, a stateside version of Messe Duesseldorf’s Medica event, also will have companies on the showfloor that range from Emergo Group and Detecto, to Medical Illumination International and Separation Technology Products/Thermo Fisher Scientific, to name a few.
Philip F. Jacobus, president of DotMed.com, a public platform for buying and selling medical equipment, parts and services, predicted that this may become the medical event to be at in North America, adding, “If a health care provider is only able to attend one show a year, this might be the show.”
Besides brisk exhibit sales, the thee-day event also is lining up a strong educational program that will focus on five tracks: Oncology, Cardiology, Hospital Acquired Infections, Hospital Occupational Health & Safety, and Hospital Disaster Preparedness.

“The Medical World Americas conference will truly be a multi-disciplinary, holistic exchange of ideas across the entire spectrum of life sciences,” said Robert C. Robbins, Executive Advisory Committee Chair and President and CEO of Texas Medical Center.
He added, “By bringing doctors, students, nurses and hospital administrators together with major medical device companies of all sizes, they can share ideas about the latest technologies from IT solutions and drug therapies to imaging and preventative strategies.”
Medical World Americas is a unique collaboration between the Greater Houston Convention & Visitors Bureau, which has a minority stake in the show, and Messe Duesseldorf North America.
