SinoCorrugated South and SinoFoldingCarton 2014 Finish Record-breaking Show in Dongguan
Reed Exhibitions China’s SinoCorrugated South and SinoFoldingCarton 2014, recently held at the Guangdong Modern International Exhibition Center (GMIEC) in Houjie, Dongguan, was the largest ever.
A total of 29,114 trade visitors and more than 600 well-known equipment suppliers participated, as well as several of the international and local suppliers debuted new products onsite.
This year, SinoCorrugated South and SinoFoldingCarton were held concurrently, filling GMIEC’s Hall 3 to capacity and further extending to Halls 4 and 5, to cover a total area of nearly 60,000 square meters, up 30 percent from 2013.
The record number of visitors was up 39.6 percent from last year as well.
A lot of companies chose to debut their new products to the Asia-Pacific market. Guangzhou Giant Packaging Machinery, for example, unveiled the automated carton gluing and binding machine from its printing-slotting-gluing-binding production line: Lee Sang Duk.
This year’s event also was supported by 100-plus industry associations, of which more than 50 organized sizable delegations visited.
Chen Jianzhen, Secretary General of the Guangzhou Printing and Packaging Association, said, “SinoCorrugated South 2014 has been a great success and we’ve seen many new innovations here. The scale of the event, number of exhibitors and quality of exhibits are all much improved from the last edition. There were also so many fascinating forums to join. The on-site activities have been very interesting, and greatly commended by the members of our associations.”
In addition, more than 100 trade and mass media covered the event, highlighting the importance of SinoCorrugated South and SinoFoldingCarton to the Asia-Pacific packaging industry.
Reed Exhibitions ▪ China Corrugated Industry Training Week made a big comeback in 2014, based on a program of diverse, value-laden supplementary activities that focused on hot topics and industry trends.
The activities included the Summit on the Changing Patterns in Packaging Industry, Innovation and Development of Paper Packaging Technologies; the China Packaging and Printing Alliance Annual Summit 2014; the Paper Honeycomb Industry Development Summit; the China Flexographic Development Summit; the Reed-Yuanhe Public Lecture; the Green and Creative Packaging Designs Summit and the New Product Launches that attracted thousands.
The International Corrugated Case Association (ICCA) predicts that in the next few years, the corrugated packaging industry in various world regions will develop at different rates.
In Asia, the Chinese market is the most promising, according to show organizers. From 2013 to 2016, China’s corrugated packaging industry will see an average growth of around 7 percent and will be the leading corrugated packaging market worldwide.
SinoCorrugated 2015 will be move to the Shanghai New International Expo Center in April 2015 and expand to 67,000 square meters.
An expected 32,000 visitors will attend the show, which already has 80 percent of the exhibition space sold.
