Hometown Chef Michael Symon to Headline Cleveland I-X Center’s Fabulous Food Show
Iron Chef and Cleveland Native Michael Symon is heading back to his roots Nov. 14-16 to headline the International Exposition (I-X) Center’s Fabulous Food Show.
Fabulous Food Show is the nation’s largest consumer food and beverage-themed event that attracts world-renowned culinary professionals, celebrity chefs and regional artisans who conduct high-quality demos.
More than 100 live presentations will be scheduled across six different customized stages, and Chef Symon will appear at the event each day.
“We are truly fortunate to live in a region ripe with exceptional culinary talent,” said Jeremy Levine, executive producer for the Fabulous Food Show.
He added, “Chef Michael Symon is a wonderful ambassador for our community. We are tremendously excited he will join us at the Fabulous Food Show this year to showcase his artistry and passion.”
Chef Symon is a co-host of ABC’s lifestyle series “The Chew” and is often featured on the Food Network’s “Iron Chef”. In addition, he owns several restaurants in the Midwest - Lola, Lolita, Roast, Bar Symon and B Spot.
"I am beyond thrilled to once again be part of Cleveland's premier food event,” Chef Symon said. “Nothing makes me happier than celebrating and cooking with friends and family at home."
In addition to daily demonstrations, guests can ‘taste, try and buy’ their way through the Market Place, an expansive showfloor with more than 450 exhibiting companies.
Free admission is included to the collocated By Hand Fine Art & Craft Fair, and tickets will go on sale for Fabulous Food Show Aug. 15.
Additional participating celebrity talent and signature event details will be announced in the coming weeks. In past years, chefs such as Anne Burrell, Guy Fieri and Jacques Pepin also have been featured at the show, to name a few.
The I-X Center, which owns several shows, also is the 9th largest convention center in North America, comprised of 2.2 million square feet, including more than 1 million sq. ft. of flexible space.
