New England Grows! Moves Show to December Timeframe

February 5, 2015

Long held in February every year, New England Grows! listened to its customers and decided to move the show to the December timeframe.

The Northeast’s largest educational conference and green industry exposition will be held Dec. 2-4 at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center.

In surveys, when asked for the single change that could improve their conference experience, more than half of all exhibitors and attendees requested an earlier show date, according to show management.

"After 23 years of growth, we are setting the stage for even greater success," said Virginia Wood, executive director of New England Grows.

She added, "We listened to our participants. They want to attend the show earlier in their planning cycle. Logistically, December is a better time for travel to Boston, and the city is a beautiful destination before the holidays."

The new dates move the show to one of the first on the green industry’s winter calendar, instead of one of the last.

The December show will feature 12,000 attendees and 500 vendors for what was honored as one of TSNN’s Top 25 Fastest-growing shows by attendance at the 2014 TSNN Awards.

New England Grows! is an educational partnership between the New England Nursery Association, Massachusetts Arborists Association, Massachusetts Association of Landscape Professionals, Massachusetts Nursery & Landscape Association, and its network, which includes more than 40 allied green industry organizations.

This year’s New England Grows show is on tap Feb. 4-6 at the BCEC.
