Audi’s Rupert Stadler to Keynote Inaugural International CES Asia

The Consumer Electronics Association has unveiled that Rupert Stadler, chairman of the board of management at AUDI AG, will deliver a preshow keynote address at the 2015 International CES Asia.

The inaugural event will run May 25-27 in Shanghai, China, at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC) and will draw global businesses to showcase the latest products and technologies entering the Asian marketplace.

CEA is co-organizing the event with Intex Shanghai Co., Ltd., a producer of international tradeshows in China.

Rupert Stadler joined AUDI AG in 1990, where he assumed various controlling tasks in the Sales and Marketing area.

Stadler switched to Volkswagen-AUDI España, S.A., Barcelona, as Commercial Director in 1994, where he was responsible for Controllership, Accounts, Personnel and Organization. From 1997 Stadler was Head of the Board of Management's Office for the Volkswagen Group, and additionally Head of Group Product Planning from January 2002.

He became AUDI AG Board Member with effect from Jan. 1, 2003. From April 1, 2003 to Aug. 31, 2007, Stadler was responsible for the Finance and Organization Division.

He became Chairman of the Board of Management of AUDI AG on Jan. 1, 2007. Stadler joined the Board of Management of Volkswagen on Jan. 1, 2010 in his capacity as Chairman of the Board of Management of AUDI AG.
 
From major global brands to startups, the entire consumer technology ecosystem will be on display at CES Asia, which will span 8,500 net square meters of exhibit space in its first year.

Major trends and product categories, including 3D printing, robotics, sensors, the Internet of Things and wearables, will be prominently featured across the show floor and in the conference program. Companies committed to exhibit space include Audi, Ford, Hisense, IBM and Monster.

Additionally, attendees can benefit from 20 double-sided 55" mobile flexible display units, facilitating effortless navigation to meeting rooms and events. RFID locks were installed on all meeting room doors, and over 200 motion detection cameras have been placed throughout the space. Refreshing New Design & Fine Art The newly remodeled convention space provides a bright and vibrant atmosphere that complements Mandalay Bay's tropical-inspired brand. Featuring white-washed walls and ceilings adorned with bold floral patterns in cerulean and coral tones, the space is complemented by warm walnut accent walls. In addition to the redesign of all pre-function spaces, meeting rooms and ballrooms, Mandalay Bay's 1 million square feet of exhibit space has undergone a rejuvenation, including new paint, covered pillars and relocated strobe lights. Sustainable Spectacles Mandalay Bay is committed to Focused on What Matters and creating more responsible meetings. Refillable water stations all available around the resort, cutting unnecessary plastic usage from single-use bottles.
