May 7, 2012

In a first-time collaboration between Germany’s Messe Duesseldorf and Indonesia-based PT. Wahana Kemalaniaga Makmur, INDOPRINT, INDOPACK and INDOPLAS 2012 in Jakarta scored record participation, according to organizers.

Visitors mainly attended from Indonesia, Southeast Asia and other parts of Asia and 249 exhibitors from 19 nations presented their latest product developments, applications and solutions for the printing, packaging and plastics industries.

Exhibiting for the first time were companies from Italy, Japan, Turkey and the U.S. National groups and pavilions from Austria, Germany, Singapore and Taiwan.

“Compared to the previous years we see a significant increase in visitors, demonstrating the importance of INDOPRINT, INDOPACK and INDOPLAS for the local market,” said Rini Sumardi, director of WAKENI.

He added, “Our partnership with Messe Düsseldorf Asia was the right decision in order to bring the exhibitions to a new level and we look forward to strengthening our cooperation in the future.”

Gernot Ringling, managing director of Messe Düsseldorf Asia, added: “I am very pleased with the results and the positive visitor numbers indicate that the exhibitions have been a complete success both in terms of the quantity, as well as the quality of the visitors. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all exhibitors, visitors, partners and supporters who made this year’s editions of these trade fairs an absolute success.”

INDPRINT exhibitors also gave the show positive reviews.

“At INDOPRINT, we had a number of very interesting meetings with potential customers and we are confident that these will later lead to sales deals,” said Raymond Tan, regional sales manager at Mosca Asia.

Exhibitors at INDOPACK 2012 also had positive reviews. “Our participation exceeded our expectations, we met a lot of customers and potential buyers who are interested in our packaging machinery which are 100% made in Indonesia according to our German standards,” said Eckhard Merz from Merz Verpackungsmaschinen GmbH.

The next editions of INDOPRINT, INDOPACK and INDOPLAS will be held Sept. 3-6, 2014, in Jakarta.
