XPO Exhibitions, a trade show organizer in New Zealand, announced that the company has acquired nine shows from North Port Events. No financial details were released.
The nine shows are The Baby Shows, The Food Shows (Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch), Fine Food New Zealand, Facilities Integrate, The Waikato Home & Garden Show, Autumn HomeXPO.
After the acquisition, XPO will organise a portfolio of 18 shows in 2020 and the company is expecting more than 3,500 exhibiting companies and over 150,000 visitors at its events next year.

Under the new show theme “City + IoT – a sustainable and liveable future”, Thailand Lighting Fair (THLF) and Thailand Building Fair (THBF) will be returning to Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) Oct. 28-31.
Held concurrently with Secutech Thailand, the three trade fairs will bring together more than 200 brands and companies to showcase the latest smart city solutions. Comexposium has entered into a joint-venture partnership to organize and develop RemaxWorld Expo & Summit, an office equipment and printing consumables industry exhibition held annually in Zhuhai, China.
As well as developing the RemaxWorld brand, the partnership between Comexposium and RemaxWorld founder, Recycling Times Media Corporation, will also look to develop further new business in southern China.
In September, Comexposium announced its adoption of a three-region structure, emphasising a geographic focus on developing platforms of growth.

IBTM World, taking place in Barcelona Nov. 19-21, has revealed that representation from China at this year’s show has increased by a staggering 450 percent in net space. compared with last year, in addition to strong sales from across the whole of the Asia Pacific region.
As a consequence, there will be two China pavilions at the event this year. The first pavilion will feature 10 exhibitors from the Zhejiang Province all new to IBTM World.

As part of the resort’s refresh, Mandalay Bay implemented state-of-the-art technology upgrades, installing cutting-edge Cat6A Ethernet cabling throughout the convention center. This advancement doubles the frequency of data transmission, enabling lightning-fast speeds up to 9400% faster. The convention center now boasts 11 dynamic digital walls, spanning up to 24' x 13', strategically positioned for brand placements, sponsorships and targeted event messaging. Additionally, attendees can benefit from 20 double-sided 55" mobile flexible display units, facilitating effortless navigation to meeting rooms and events. RFID locks were installed on all meeting room doors, and over 200 motion detection cameras have been placed throughout the space.
Refreshing New Design & Fine Art
The newly remodeled convention space provides a bright and vibrant atmosphere that complements Mandalay Bay's tropical-inspired brand. Featuring white-washed walls and ceilings adorned with bold floral patterns in cerulean and coral tones, the space is complemented by warm walnut accent walls. In addition to the redesign of all pre-function spaces, meeting rooms and ballrooms, Mandalay Bay's 1 million square feet of exhibit space has undergone a rejuvenation, including new paint, covered pillars and relocated strobe lights.
