The Expo Group Exhibit Manager of the Year Awards Program Launches

May 8, 2012

To honor the ‘unsung heroes’ of the trade show industry, The Expo Group has launched the Exhibit Manager of the Year Awards.

Nominations will be accepted through June 8 and the top exhibit managers will be feted at the TSEA-EACA Red Diamond Congress Gala July 11.

Demonstrating value, marketplace engagement and multi-channel initiatives are among the criteria that will be subjectively judged by an independent panel of industry notables.

“I personally am eager to hear about the accomplishments of the exhibit managers nominated,” said Ray Pekowski, president and CEO of The Expo Group. “This is a way for us to focus attention on the fascinating people who contribute so much to their organizations through effective exhibit management.”

Anyone is welcome to nominate an exhibit manager for the EMY awards online now. Nominees need not be clients of The Expo Group and are not solicited based on their nomination.

The 2012 EMY winners in four categories based on budget will be honored with trophies at the Red Diamond Gala and receive a $500 donation to the charity or educational institution of their choice.

“The Expo Group Show Manager of the Year awards program has long honored exhibition organizers making a difference and this new awards program is long overdue,” said Jim Wurm, executive director of the Exhibitor Appointed Contractor Association that recently absorbed TSEA and its trade show exhibitor members.

He added, “We are thrilled to provide the forum at Red Diamond Congress for honoring The Expo Group Exhibit Manager of the Year award winners.”
