The International Association of Exhibitions & Events has named Los Angeles Abilities Expo 2015 the Top Public Event this year, an award that will be celebrated at the organization’s Expo! Expo! Reed Exhibitions has partnered deal with the China Foreign Trade Guangzhou Exhibition General Corporation to co-produce Pollutec China, a major international environment protection trade event set to debut in South China next year. The agreement is an important development following Reed's successful strategic agreement with the China Foreign Trade Centre (CFTC) in January of 2015. The third edition of UBM's annual Concrete Show South East Asia was successfully held Oct. 28-30 at the Jakarta International Expo. The Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (“HKCEC”) has recently revamped its website, (www.hkcec.com), adopting the new ‘Responsive’ technology.  It is now fully available for desktop as well as mobile phones, tablets and other mobile devices with different screen sizes and configurations. More than 70 percent of the 20,000 daily visitors use their mobile devices to visit the HKCEC website. Fi & Hi India 2015, organised by UBM India, was held from 19th to 21st October 2015, at Bombay Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC) in Mumbai. Fi & Hi India, which has already been on for 10 years, is the only B2B platform for the Indian food and health industry. This year’s show featured over 160 exhibitors and drew over 6,500 visitors. It has been confirmed that Fi & Hi India 2016 will be held from 22th to 24th August 2016, at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. The show will return Mumbai in 2017. Reed Exhibitions has signed a letter of intent (LOI) with COEX to co-organise the Franchise Seoul through the project-based joint venture (JV), which is expected to be concluded by end of this year. It is a bold leap forward for Reed Exhibitions in South Korea, following its successful JV partnership with K. Fairs Ltd., a local event organiser, to host Kormarine, the second largest maritime industry event in Asia. Franchise Seoul 2016, will be held from 3rd to 5th March 2016, at COEX Center. Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) launched 2016 Fiscal Year Kick Off, announced its plan to bring in regional media conferences of global scale. The first event to note is the 14th CNBC Asia Business Leader Award 2015, which will take place from 28th to 29th October 2015, at Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok. Airgate Holdings, a wholly-owned subsidiary of ITE Group, has acquired an additional 31.7% share of Mumbai-based ABEC Exhibitions for around £14 million (US$21 million). Including the 28.3% share acquired in December 2012, ITE Group now holds up to 60% share of ABEC. ABEC Exhibitions is a leading exhibition organiser in India, running over 20 events across industries from building & interiors, oil & gas to fashion.
