After a long-awaited time, the Boise (Idaho) Centre, the city’s convention center, will be getting some additional space, with plans to nearly double the 50,000 square feet now available.
The Greater Boise Auditorium District has agreed to purchase adjacent space to the existing center that will allow it to expand by 43,000 sq. ft., including a 15,000 square-foot ballroom, 7,000 square-foot commercial kitchen and an additional 14,000 sq. ft. of meeting room space and 7,000 sq. ft. of pre-function space.

Adding to its audiovisual offerings, Dallas-based Freeman recently bought Audio Visual Management Group, an AV provider for association trade shows, business meetings, and special events based in Richardson, Texas.
AVMG will join other Freeman brands such as, Encore Event Technologies, Stage Rigging and Alford Media as part of Freeman Audio Visual.

The new exhibition venue in southern Taiwan, Kaohsiung Exhibition Center (KEC), is set to officially open on 14th April 2014. KEC was funded by Taiwan’s Bureau of Foreign Trade and will be operated by the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center Cooperation, a member of Uniplan Group.
There are currently more than 30 conferences and 10 exhibitions scheduled to run at KEC. Its first event, Taiwan International Fastener Show, will coincide with the venue’s opening date. Myanmar’s first official show servingthe feed, livestock and meat industry, Livestock Myanmar 2014 Expo, ranfrom 23rd to 25th January at Tatmadaw Exhibition Hall. Singapore Expo Convention and Exhibition Centre and its convention wing, MAX Atria, held more than 800 events in 2013 – an increase of 13% over 2012. Singex, the venue’s management company reported a total of 7.5 million visitors attended these events, up 25% year-on-year. The venue is forecasting a 10% growth in the number of events and total visitors in 2014.

RFID locks were installed on all meeting room doors, and over 200 motion detection cameras have been placed throughout the space.

The newly remodeled convention space provides a bright and vibrant atmosphere that complements Mandalay Bay's tropical-inspired brand. Featuring white-washed walls and ceilings adorned with bold floral patterns in cerulean and coral tones, the space is complemented by warm walnut accent walls. In addition to the redesign of all pre-function spaces, meeting rooms and ballrooms, Mandalay Bay's 1 million square feet of exhibit space has undergone a rejuvenation, including new paint, covered pillars and relocated strobe lights.
