U.K.-based ITE Group has its sights set on Southeast Asia, with the launch of another show there – Cosmobeauté into Myanmar. The show will be launched through its The Malaysian subsidiary, ECMI ITE Asia.
This is the company’s second recent launch into the region announced this month, with Paperex Indonesia 2014 debuting Dec. 3-4 at the Jakarta Convention Center.
Cosmobeauté is a well-known brand in the Southeast Asia region, with exhibitions already organised in Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam.

The world’s largest medical trade show, Messe Duesseldorf’s MEDICA 2013, World Forum for Medicine will be even bigger when it’s held Nov. 20-23 in Duesseldorf, Germany, with the launch of the Medicine + Sports Conference.

The Singapore Gifts & Premiums Fair (SGPFair) drew a record-breaking 10,000-plus visitors when it recently was held at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.
The three-day show, held July 10-12, showcases promotional, corporate, incentive and retail gifts.
There also were 158 exhibitors on the showfloor. Both local (61 percent) and overseas exhibitors (39 percent) presented unique products and the latest designs from more than 30 countries, such as Australia, Germany, Korea, Japan, Cambodia, Indonesia, Italy, United States, United Kingdom and more.

International exhibition organiser, ITE Group plc, released its Interim Management Statement for the three months ended 30th June 2013. Revenues in the period were £95 million (US$145 million), compared with 2012’s £76 million (US$116 million). The group attributed part of the increase to its biennial event, Moscow International Oil & Gas and revenues from Metaltech, acquired in January 2013. Excluding these effects, like-for-like revenues in the quarter were up 8% over the previous year.

Last month, the 18th edition of Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition, organised by Messe Frankfurt, attracted more than 116,000 visitors from 120 countries and regions – an increase of 6% over the previous edition. The show was sold out and welcomed 2,588 exhibitors from 27 countries and regions.

The June Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair concluded last month with new record attendance figures. Organised by UBM Asia, the show attracted a new record of 1,841 exhibitors from 37 countries and regions, and more than 25,900 visitors from 113 countries and regions.

Venue management company, AEG Ogden, has announced the appointment of Ms. Malu Barrios as the general manager of Sydney’s interim exhibition facilities at Glebe Island, the Sydney Exhibition Centre at Glebe Island. AEG Ogden was recently appointed as operator of the interim facilities by Australia’s New South Wales Government.

From crazy nail designs to textured curls and wrinkle erasers, the spirit of style and rejuvenation was in the air at Cosmoprof North America, the annual trade show and conference for beauty professionals held July 14 -16 at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.
Sporting a new look and feel in partnership with Global Experience Specialists, the show boasted an increase in numbers across the board, compared with 2012.

The newly remodeled convention space provides a bright and vibrant atmosphere that complements Mandalay Bay's tropical-inspired brand. Featuring white-washed walls and ceilings adorned with bold floral patterns in cerulean and coral tones, the space is complemented by warm walnut accent walls. In addition to the redesign of all pre-function spaces, meeting rooms and ballrooms, Mandalay Bay's 1 million square feet of exhibit space has undergone a rejuvenation, including new paint, covered pillars and relocated strobe lights.
